Trade Show Spotlight: Fire Retardants in Plastics 2014

H.M. Royal is proud to announce our participation in the 4^th Annual Fire Retardants in Plastics conference this May, 2014. With the most cutting edge trends and technical developments being discussed, the Fire Retardants in Plastics Conference has grown into an essential annual meeting place for those in the flame retardant industry.

Chemical and mineral flame retardants belong to a diverse family of chemical compounds used to reduce the flammability of polymer formulations. With the risk of fire occurring in countless different situations and across innumerable applications, flame retardants can be found in everything from electronic devices to household furnishings. 

At this year’s conference we will be showcasing some of our newer products, including the silicone based additives Dow Corning®: Resin Modifier and the Dow Corning®: Si Based Additive. These additives offer many benefits including reduced die drool, reduced heat release rate, improved hydrophobicity, and improved stability, productivity, and strength.
